Where I stand

Issues

Six priorities. Practical positions. Plain language. Read each in full below, or jump to a section using the links.

Your beach

Protect what makes Wasaga Beach special while making sure locals always come first. Year-round access, clean sands, and respectful visitors.

Our beach is why the world knows our name. But it's also a seven-month destination for people who don't pay taxes here. I'll work to balance tourism revenue against the cost of maintaining the shoreline, protect local access points, and push back when provincial decisions short-change residents.

Your streets

Keep parking, roads, parks, and services reliable year-round, not just in tourist season.

Pothole repair, snow clearing, streetlights, and sidewalks shouldn't depend on whether you live on a tourist route. I'll push for a transparent infrastructure plan, so every neighbourhood knows when their street is next, not just when someone complains loudest.

Housing that fits

Responsible growth that keeps Wasaga affordable for the people who already live here.

We need housing. But we need the right kind: a mix of starter homes, seniors' options, and rentals near transit, not just luxury builds. I'll vote for density where it makes sense, infrastructure before approvals, and transparent community consultation on every major project.

Your town hall

Clear answers, open doors, real accountability. No surprises at budget time.

Residents shouldn't need a PhD in municipal finance to follow a council meeting. I'll push for plain-language budget summaries, live-streamed meetings with searchable minutes, and a council that responds to emails, not just the loudest voice in the room.

Community first

A council that remembers who it works for: the residents, not the loudest lobbyists.

Decisions get better when the people affected are in the room. I'll hold regular office hours, support community-run initiatives, and insist on real consultation before any major change, not rubber-stamp hearings after the decision is already made.

Protecting what we love

Environmental stewardship that preserves Wasaga Beach for the next generation.

Our dunes, wetlands, and waterfront are what brought most of us here. I'll support conservation partnerships, responsible development setbacks, and climate-ready planning, because we owe it to the kids growing up here to leave it better than we found it.
