Energetic, passionate, fiscally responsible representation for the town we call home.
Wasaga Beach resident · Candidate for Town Council
Why I'm running
I’m running because I care deeply about where Wasaga is headed. After 14 years of calling this community home, I want to bring a younger, independent voice to Council, one that asks questions, puts residents first, and makes fiscally responsible decisions with taxpayers’ money.
At 41 years old, I bring both experience and a long term commitment to our community. I’ve proudly called Wasaga Beach home for the past 14 years, and I care deeply about its future.
I have an Advanced Diploma in Business and started my career in sales. At 23, I purchased my first home, and over the years, my career in sales became a means of building a housing portfolio and developing a deeper understanding of real estate, finance, and investing. In 2014, I was fortunate to have grown my portfolio and become fully self employed, giving me the opportunity to build my own business and take control of my financial future.
I have experience as a homeowner, investor, and landlord, giving me a first hand understanding of the financial pressures residents face. I have invested in a wide range of real estate, including single family homes, duplexes, condominiums, and land holdings. I’ve also worked with different municipalities to execute house conversions to duplexes, zoning amendments, and severances. These experiences have given me a practical understanding of how development, zoning, municipal processes, and investment decisions can intersect.
I have also remained an active equity investor throughout my career. Over the past six years, I made the decision to sell a significant portion of my real estate holdings, taking a long term approach to managing my investments and financial future. Through years of working hard, budgeting, saving, managing risk, and investing, I have achieved financial independence.
That mindset is exactly what I bring to public service. I understand the importance of responsible spending, long term planning, managing risk, and making smart, sustainable decisions. I know that resources are not unlimited and that every dollar needs to be considered carefully. I believe we can create opportunities for growth while keeping affordability, quality of life, and the character of our community front and centre.
My business and investment experience has also taught me that good decisions require looking beyond the immediate result. Whether it is evaluating an investment, managing a property, working through a municipal process, or planning for the future, I believe in doing the research, understanding the risks, considering the long term consequences, and making informed decisions.
Outside of work, I stay connected to the community through an active outdoor lifestyle, hiking, paddle boarding, and exploring local trails with my spouse and our dog. These experiences reinforce my commitment to protecting the natural spaces that make Wasaga Beach such a special place to live, while also supporting thoughtful and balanced development.
My generation deserves a seat at the table, because the decisions we make today will shape Wasaga Beach for decades and affect generations to come. I’m energetic, passionate, and committed to our community. I will always listen to residents, consider different perspectives, and work hard to make informed decisions that put residents first.
I bring real world experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, years of experience in real estate and investing, and a strong sense of responsibility to the future of Wasaga Beach.
I’ve worked hard to build my own financial independence. Now, I want to put that experience to work for our community.
What I stand for
Six priorities — read more about each on the issues page:
- Your town hall — Respect every tax dollar with responsible spending and clear, easy-to-read budgets, timelines, and capital plans, while being an accessible and accountable Councillor for residents. Knowledge is power, and openness builds trust.
- Community first — Be accessible, listen to residents before major decisions, and support the community groups and volunteers that make Wasaga stronger.
- Infrastructure — Wasaga Beach is growing quickly, and our infrastructure and community amenities need to keep pace. We cannot allow important needs outside Beach 1 to continually be pushed down the road.
- Your beach — Protect what makes Wasaga special, invest responsibly, complete current commitments at Beach 1 as fast as possible to recover our funds, and make sure residents come first.
- Housing that fits — Responsible growth that keeps Wasaga affordable for the people who already live here.
- Protecting what we love — Environmental stewardship that preserves Wasaga Beach for the next generation.
